Understanding people is at the heart of every project that we undertake. We make sure that we get relevant information about user needs and desires before any design work begins. Whenever possible, we get people to participate in concept making. Our solutions are invariably richer as a result.

James' images are created by fusing the elements of traditional analogue and new digital imaging technology. The obsession with the structures that human beings create is always present. Each image is not simply a document, but an autonomous art work. This is achieved through rigorous attention to the grid-like structure of compositions. Every element in every image is placed exactly where it should be and balances perfectly with all the other factors involved in its creation.
James studied Fine Art at The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, graduating in 1995. His work has been exhibited in numerous institutions, from galleries in Kyoto to the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. James travels frequently and shoots projects around the world. Recently, he was commissioned by ARUP to capture The Olympic Stadium, The CCTV Building and The New China World Trade Tower, all in Beijing.

LONDON is a new type of global advertising agency with one office. We are not for everyone. We are straight-talking.
We are best suited to working with people who have tough or complicated problems to solve. We use Straight-Line Thinking to cut through the crap, then create One Brilliant Idea that works across all communications, anywhere in the world. This ensures that the highest return on investment for our clients. Before setting up LONDON the founding partners worked M&C Saatchi where they set up and managed agencies in Hong Kong, New York and the Middle East, as well as in London.
Examples of our work include the advertising to restore visitors to the US after 9/11. The “You’ve seen the film, Now visit the set.” campaign generated an ROI of US$80 additional visitor spend for every US$1 spent on advertising – a record in the sector. At LONDON we have created a new way of working, via the web, to replace the expensive and cumbersome ‘bricks and mortar’ traditional network agency. At the heart of our agency is an online Campaign Management System that is being used by brands including Cartier, Tiffany, Pepsi, and Danone to handle all their advertising globally.
We also work with a network of 109 strategic planners and 470 copywriters across the world. These capabilities enable us to create, produce and supply any ad, in any medium, in any language, to any country in the world. In our first year we have secured clients on every continent, including Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental, who we work with globally and locally in 25 markets - all from London.
A brand isn't just an idea, it is an experience. We start with the big idea and then make things tangible, so that people can see, hear, taste and touch your brand. You will smile, because we make your customers do the same.
