This morning, The U.K House Of Commons Transport Committee published its initial findings to the Government on their inquiry "The Future of Aviation". The inquiry began in late February of this year with a broad scope to elicit information from the public, the industry, and other interested parties on the Future of UK Aviation.

One of the greatest tragedies in the credit crunch has been to watching the slow decline of Midwest Airlines. They were one of the few carriers where I never thought about the price when booking, and just knew that it was going to be a pleasure. With their normal 2-2 seating on a 717 or MD-80, (now called Signature Seating and sold for a premium) from the warm cookies it was just a pleasure to fly with this team.

After lobbying from Alaska Air and other labour groups, it would appear that Congressman Oberstar (Democratic Congressman and Chairman of the House Transportation Committee) has requested that U. S. Transportation Secretary LaHood look into the "nationality" of Virgin America for potential violations of U.S. foreign ownership rules.
