UK creative industries celebrate the official launch of the new DBA Directory.

On 31 May, 2011, the Design Business Association gathered together design buyers, design agencies, creative sector thought leaders and press at City Hall in London to celebrate the official launch of the DBA Design Directory.

Former Chairman of the Design Council, Sir George Cox, joined DBA CEO, Deborah Dawton, and client ambassador Tom Foulkes to share their thoughts on the potential that the Directory has to offer both business and public sector commissioners of design. Please view the above video to get their take.

Prospect worked closely with the DBA team to develop the Design Directory from the ground up. Adam Fennelow, Director of Development at the DBA said, “We were looking for a group with strong capabilities in people-centred online development and found our agency in Prospect. We were really impressed with their working processes and are very happy with the outcome.”

The Directory provides companies seeking design a clever online tool to compare and contrast various agency offers, as well as the security of knowing that the listed agencies have passed a rigorous pre-qualification process.  The Design Directory has been endorsed by the Institute of Directors and the Marketing Society and is set to change the UK design services procurement landscape.

The design, which soft-launched in early 2011, has already received glowing reviews from the design industry: “The intelligence and information that the Design Directory provides is invaluable to us as commissioners of design. We would even be willing to pay to have access to this simple and well-designed tool.” said the Director of Design of a global FMCG company.
