Design Bulldozer to clear a path for design in Estonia

On Tuesday, 8 May, Tallinn saw the official launch of Design Bulldozer, an innovation programme Prospect has tailored for Estonia. Over the next 2 years, 10 Estonian companies will participate in the pilot, guided by 10 Estonian Design Coaches. In conjunction with Enterprise Estonia and the Estonian Design Centre, Richard Eisermann developed the programme and will oversee its delivery. The goal is to raise the skills of the participants on both the design and the business sides of the innovation equation, helping them to develop a common language and working practices through a people centred approach.

Many of Estonia’s biggest brands have signed on to Design Bulldozer, including the Baltika Group, a fashion retailer with 4 brands that operate in 5 central European markets and Meiren Snow, an innovative young company dedicated to producing snow removal equipment. A number of potential Design Coaches have also expressed interest. Even though it’s early days, the desire and momentum for building Estonia’s future through innovation and design is rapidly growing.
