An effective booking engine to boost sales and turn browsers into buyers

Holiday Extras provides turnkey online solutions for some of the UK's most popular family attractions and days out, including Legoland Holidays, Alton Towers, Windsor Castle and Thorpe Park.

In this highly competitive market, Prospect were asked to boost conversions of browsers into ticket purchasers.

Holiday Extras has a large competent team of coders and developers, but needed design help to provide a better user experience and a more streamlined and user-friendly interface.

We collaborated closely with our client to optimise the IA (Information Architecture) and simplify the booking engine down into very simple steps, reducing the risk of people dropping out of the process before purchasing.

The interface had to work for not just one client, but eventually will be re-skinned to drive bookings on all Holiday Extra's client's websites. The first lucky recipient of the booking engine and HTML front-end interface was Legoland Holidays, delivered on time and on a tight budget.

This economic way of working also creates challenges as we negotiate the differences between each system, which the team at Prospect look forward to meeting!
