Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was regaled with the story of Milton Keynes at an exhibition and event curated and executed by Prospect. Accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the royal couple were first guided through a 30 meter long timeline of Milton Keynes celebrating the new town's 40th anniversary.

Dr. Michael Synott, Director of the Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre and John Best, Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Council explained to their esteemed guests the six values upon which Milton Keynes was founded: Diversity, Beauty, Participation, Innovation, Connection and Sustainability. They then demonstrated the relevance of those values to the future of the city.

"The Queen was very receptive to our unique story," said Dr. Synott. "She clearly saw the continuity between the principles upon which Milton Keynes was founded, how we have stood by them through the years and what they will mean to the future of our town. Ours is a quintessentially British story, with a modern twist."

Moving into the piazza, The Queen unveiled a Prospect designed plaque commemorating the official opening of the Hub, Milton Keynes' exciting new real estate development. The royal couple were then transferred to the new 20,000 seat MK Dons stadium, where they were treated to a spectacle of coordinated drama and dance by 8000 Milton Keynes youngsters. The crowning glory of the event was the singing of the national anthem by Dame Cleo Laine, a long-time Milton Keynes resident.

"I'm certain there wasn't a dry eye in the stadium," said Gavin Anderson, Prospect's Director of Brand Innovation. "Dame Cleo's rendition of "God Save The Queen" was nothing short of magnificent. When we received this assignment last August, we knew straightaway that we wouldn't fail with a professional of Cleo's calibre."

Richard Eisermann and Anja Klüver, the co-directors of Prospect who took personal responsibility for pulling together the exhibition were overjoyed with the results. "Like so many projects with extremely tight deadlines, all the pieces came together at the very end. Thanks to our excellent network of suppliers, we pulled it off," commented Anja.

"Milton Keynes put its best foot forward today," said John Best. "We can all be proud of what we accomplished. I'm certain that our clear messages and flawless execution will help us in our campaign to gain city status by the year 2012."
